Floyd Mayweather is good NOT great

In my eyes Floyds top 35/40 ATG. Seeing as theres guys such as Morales, De La Hoya etc that are ranked top 50, i think thats justifiable.

And when i say Floyd can beat Duran im not comparing there opponents, im talking in regards to a one-on-one bout.

morales' resume is better than floyd's.

and he might not even be top 50 possibly.



floyd always wins hypothetical matchups in the eyes of his fans.

tell me just one, just one "fight of the year" he has been in. his fights are nothing compared to that of ali, tyson etc. in the entertainment department. and i really don't care whether he comes back or not. his fighting style is boring. period. it's like watching a mouse fight against a lion. and the lion is all aggressive and what not, whereas, the mouse is running circles around and throwing punches here and there.

Fundamentally Mayweather is one of the greatest fighters to have ever stepped in the ring. He certainly seems to lack a career defining fight though, which is possibly because there isn't anyone out there capable. Perhaps Mayweather vs Pacquiao is that fight.

Tbh, i agree with you to a certain extent. If Pac beats Hatton, Floyd will need to face Pacquiao to settle the arguement about who was no1 out the two.

Pac will become 4 times lineal champ, first time in boxing history, hence why Floyd may be overshadowed by Pacquiao.

yes, he would because styles make fights. bernard has trouble with fighters who have SPEED AND REFLEXES. doesn't mean it would be an entertaining fight. floyd would box circles around him like he did with baldomir.
