What a ****in dumb ass article. lol You could tell the writer was white or black.

The only 2 instances I can remember there being any genuine bad blood between our fighters was between Morales and Barrera (because of some stuff that went on behind the scene, and Barrera was basically a c*nt) and Vargas/De La Hoya (Vargas just thought Oscar was a phoney).

I mean Castillo, Margarito, Soto-Karras, all can be seen together walkin their countrymen out to the ring in some fights. lol The writer of the article probably just can't comprehend the "competitive spirit," lol it probably scares him or somthin.

it's just for other groups lately their good fighters are so far apart in weight classes they don't compete against each other, for example

              Black people: Floyd, B-Hop
              Pinoys: Pac, Donaire
              White people: Hatton, Pavlik
              Ricans : Cotto, Calderon

with that being said though, the Mexican fighters almost always root for each other when they're fighting someone else; even Barrera was rooting for Morales against Pac the first time they fought
Cotto didnt talked smack when he fought Quintana, and neither Quintana. Cintron hasnt talked **** about Cotto. And neither Cotto or Quintana have said Cintron is 50% rican, 50% american. There is definetly something going on with mexicans.

I thought the article was valid. The article deals more with the rift between the "real"Mexicans and teh "faux" Mexicans. Its sad but but for whatever reason being born in the states and speaking english is considered a heinous crime and punishable by lifelong expulsion from your fellow mexican brother born on the other side of the border.

I only saw the words on the screen when Marquez was talking about him being 100% mexican and Diaz was 50%, once I saw that, I wanted Diaz to beat the **** out of Marquez. There was an interview that Erik Morales gave in which he didnt like and couldnt understand how Mexicans born here in the states could wave the Mexican flag and be proud of being mexican when they weren't born in Mexico. I totally disagree with Morales and since that interview back in 02-03 I refused to root for him and cheered for his losses. What is lost in all this is that us Mexicans born here are proud of our roots and our blood, we are proud to be part of and continue traditions that our parents showed us. Morales should be ashamed that all those peopel who showed up to his fights , waving flags and paid him millions are the same people who he criticizes.

The thing is Americans are just as ****** and do the exact same things to each other over and over again that Morales and Marquez did to the Mexican American fighters and fans. Americans are always questioning each others patriotism and heritage so why be hypocritical about things?

Thats what makes this article false!!!
