    Dimitrenko vs. Rogan? Hide-Siproshvili, Pianeta-Sprott

Matt Skelton didn't just lose the Commonwealth title last Saturday night in Birmingham in his upset loss to Martin Rogan. He was also stripped of the EBU heavyweight title. Mandatory challenger is undefeated Alexander Dimitrenko, who now will fight the highest available challenger for the vacant title. Rogan's promoter Frank Warren is going to push for Rogan to get a crack at the vacant EBU title. [details]

Dimitrenko vs Rogan sounds interesting. Dimitrenko should obviously be the favorite but he has been hurt to the body before, Rogan with his pressure would certainly be a tough test for him.

If Rogan did win he could well end up mandatory challenger to the winner of Wlad vs Haye. lol

I haven't seen rogan fight but dimitrenko should see how wlad/haye negotiations go.if that fight don't happen he is the #1 wbo contender & should try & get his title shot.

Is there anywhere I can check out Dimitrenko? Havent seen him fight. I tend not to watch heavyweights. (Thank Wlad for that) How big is he, cos Rogan's smallish for a heavyweight. Rogans got me interested in the fatties now (I'm from N.Ireland).
It was in the papers here he could become Chagaev's mandatory if he wins the European title. Dont know how much truth there is in that.

Dimentreko would roll Rogan. Warren is just trying to cash him out for the biggest purse possible.

              Dimitrenko is 6'7, 250-255 lbs.

I don't think Rogan can win this fight but it would be entertaining while it lasts.

I still haven't seen Rogan fight but he keeps beating people he's not expected to beat.

Cheers for the link, he looks not too bad, was actually expected a little better so I'm happy enough. He's a big fecker though, and reasonably quick so Rogie will have to rough him up and then see what happens.
One things for sure he'll eat a lot of jabs, but he's shown that he's got a great chin so you never know. Let the fairytale continue!

I thought Dimitrenko is lined up for a title shot, I don't see any reason for him to fight Rogan. Could be a good fight though.
