If Valero wins BIG in his PPV fight next month, I could see that happening.

What in hell makes you think Marquez would fight Guzman? He already blatantly ducked Guzman before. He knows Guzman is too fast, too defensive for him and would lose. No way Marquez fights Guzman at 135 or 140. He does not want none of guzman just like before when he had the chance.

i know that guzman weight issue is a big dilema here.. but dont think thats something u cant work it out...

would a victory over guzman will mean more than a victory over valero??

          i think so.

          mexican vs. pac always sells.

remember pac-marquez was the biggest ppv draw ever for the lower weight classes.

          if pac beats hatton , he's #1 p4p and lineal 140 champ against the unified , undisputed , lineal 135 champ and #2 p4p.

i don't remember the last time #1 vs. #2 p4p fought. what was roy and toney's rankings when they fought?

add to that the rivalry between the 2. 2 great , controversial fights to be shown on HBO before the fights......

i'm sorry but i think pac-jmm 3 would outdraw cotto-pac if manny beats hatton.

valero is probably a good fight for jmm, since valero is pretty much just a hype job up til this point and also by beating valero he will ruin a fight between valero and pac.

in no way.... pac vs jmm does better numbers than pac vs cotto
even with the all the mexicans vs manny pac rivarly

                    thanks man!

If Valero scores an impressive KO and walks away with the WBC title, it makes him a bigger fight. Add to that their styles would make for an exciting match. Maybe a Guzman win would mean more, but at this stage of JMM's career it is all about the money. And Guzman has never proven to be a big enough draw to make him worth the risk.

JMM did, yes. He had Guzman, a title holder at the time, ready to go and Marquez said, "hell no!" and fought the easier Juarez instead! It's all documented, research.
