Hatton Wants Marquez in The UK After Pacquiao

If Juan Manuel Marquez is looking for a mega-fight, he just might get in the form of Ricky Hatton. If he beats Manny Pacquiao on May 2 in Las Vegas, Hatton is willing to fight Marquez next in the UK. Hatton fighting Marquez would still depend on whether or not Floyd Mayweather Jr. is willing to come out of retirement. The odds, and Mayweather's asking price, make a Hatton rematch unlikely. Marquez-Hatton is easier to make because both fighters are under the same promoter, Golden Boy Promotions. [details]

So Marquez wants to win a title at welterweight too? If he beats Hatton he would win a title in 4 weight classes, anyways, that's jumping the gun, there's no guarantee Hatton is getting past Pacquiao.

Why would Hatton want the guy that LOST to Pacman after he BEATS Pacman.

Maybe Hatton means "When I lose to Pacman I want Marquez in the UK so that we can have an elimination bout to see who will get another chance to fight Pacman"

IF he loses to Pacman then he might have back to back defeats Marquez, but don't underestimate Hatton. Both men would be fighting in his comfort weight and Hatton is no push over.

Marquez is viewed by many as the number one P4P. Though Pacman does have a win over Marquez it was the knockdowns that were the deciding factors in both fights. Marquez is technically the better boxer as he has technically won more rounds in their fights, not that it really matters since the W in the end is whats really important. Not a bad idea for Hatton to want the 1 and 2 P4P boxers to make a claim that he's an elite boxer though.
