I like Khan for the youth, speed, and agility, but Barrera is an old school Don who has tremendous experience in the ring.

Khan's chin is really fragile too, so I don't know what to do. I say Khan by decision if he can keep his wits about him and he listens to Roach.

He went the distance with an admittedly past his prime Paul Spadafora in 2007 and only lost on a split decision, and had only once been stopped, back in 2003; but only lasted two rounds with Khan.

I really don't think you can go much on the pre-Roach Khan, as he was very badly trained up until they got together, and hadn't been taught the fundamentals of the professional game.

Regarding his chin, he used to walk straight into punches, chin in the air, which gives the punches far more effective power than they have in their own right. It's like what happens when two cars meet in a head-on collision. Even jabs can have a lot of power if you do that - Nigel Benn was knocked cold by a jab once. Khan had never learnt how to roll with punches, or to deflect or block them; he was often off-balance, with the wrong stance; he didn't move his head properly, he didn't keep his chin tucked in; he didn't use his very good jab properly; and he didn't clinch when hurt. He's been sparring intensively with Pac now, and has taken Pac's punches very well according to his camp.

Also, he had done too much weight training before he teamed up with Roach, and had a huge. muscular back and spindly legs. He now has a slender back and much sturdier legs, which will also help his punch resistance, as well as improving his ability to move out of the way of shots with upper body movement.

Chins can improve - Ali was considered to be chinny early in his career, yet he had a great chin later on.
who knocked out Benn cold with a jab, i need to youtube that....

Well done for finding it - I did a youtube search and couldn't find it for some reason.

BTW, the ITV UK's slow-mo of the knock-out was better than the version on youtube, in that you could see that Benn was unconscious as he fell, although he came to when he hit the canvass.

Khan only wins most of his fights by rushing his opponents and causing the ref to stop it, he dosent have knock out power and when he comes on the attack he can be hit and the chin is out, MAB is too clever and will roll easily with alt Khan can throw he he willl out manouver khan anddish out a beating too khan like he has never imagined, MAB can be nasty and he will rough up this spoilt brat, If barrera is half the man he was he beats Khan i think he aint past it and will be packing more power at lightweight, well enough to rock khan, im predicting a fourth round KO of khan after we see him rocked badly several times in the previous three rounds

Khan looked good against ***an. But, as soon as he has the other fighter hurt he seems to lose his composure and just starts turns it into a a fight. I do hope he can do it. But, i fear once the atmosphere gets to him (like it always does) he'll go from boxing and turn it into a scrap.

Fingers crossed. He'll have Freddie in his corner for the first time, which should help.
