thats how i had it..it was a knockdown but he hit him when he was down so it should of been 1 extra point for barrera...1 knockdown doesn't equal a win..marquez won

Barrera might have been "rolling with the punches" like Steward said, but Marquez was still following up with punches that were hitting Barrera.
Barrera ****ed Marquez's face up the most anybody has, and JMM was the only one that was floored. Barrera was able to take JMM's hardest punches in the 7th, and JMM was dropped by just one of Barrera's.

Also do not call me a ******, when you spell you wrong. Marquez got a 10-8 round because the knockdown was not scored.

Marquez won round 8. The majority of Barrera's punches missed. Barrera landed a couple of right hands, but Marquez lands better right hands and he also lands uppercuts. It's no blow out, but Barrera did not win it. The only reason why someone would bother scoring it for Barrera is because he had such a better round compared to the last one.

Marquez also won round 12 pretty clearly. Barrera again, misses the majority of his punches. Marquez lands combinations this round and lands his left hook a good amount plus his right hand.

Barrera was able to land single shots through out the fight, but Marquez clearly did the better work all night. He was more active and was landing more. He clearly won the fight. Hell I'd say John had a better case of beating Marquez then Barrera did.

Also round 10 for the record is pretty close to being a blow out like round 7 was.
Wow big damn difference between u and you. As long as u understand what i meant it makes no difference mr.grammar teacher! and yes i realize why it was scored 10-8 but it was clearly the incorrect call! However though i gave Marquez the 10-8 round because the one has to follow the refs decision and i still had barrera winning by a point. Barrera was not "missing" his shots in round 8, his short left hooks and right hands to the body were clearly landing including some nice face shots that swelled up Marquez like crazy well combined with earlier damage in the fight. Round 12 Barrera was landing great counter power shots and beating marquez to the punch. Also how was Marquez landing more when basically it was even shots landed according to compubox?? Marquez clearly had more dominant rounds than barrera in the rounds he did win but Barrera controlled the fight with his left and great countering. Barrera won that fight in a close one!

          1. If we scored fights by facial damage, Forbes would have gotten the decision against De La Hoya.

          2. If we scored it on knockdowns, Terdsack Jandeng would have beaten Steven Luevano.

          Not the case at all

I will go back on calling you an idiot. While I disagree with you obviously, no one has really ever backed up your opinion like you have. Good job.

            Anyway, now to your points:

            1. Barrera was only able to land one or two nice little short left hooks in round 8. The right hands that he landed were not as clean as Marquez's were for that round. Marquez won the round. Barrera's shots came close to landing, but they didn't.

            2. Barrera might have been beating Marquez to the punch, which I disagree with because he found openings after Marquez was letting go. It wasn't due to speed, it was Barrera's timing.

That timing however, was not enough to win the round. Marquez lands many shots that rock Barrera's head and Marquez lands great left hooks and right hands. Barrera does not throw and land enough. He just disrupts Marquez sometimes, but Barrera does not win the round nor is it that close. Marquez clearly wins round 12.

            3. Overall, Marquez won the fight. And by wide margins too. Barrera was competitive, but he did not do enough nor did he land enough. Marquez's face might look like a train wreck, but Barrera used his head to smear and he hit in the clinch which also caused swelling. This was not enough to win rounds however.

Barrera lost this fight clear as day.

with the knockdown and without the deduction I got Barrera by 1 point, but I'm a Barrera fan so I'm fine with somebody telling me 114-113 Marquez or something else

MAB won in my opinion. Every punch JMM landed, MAB answered in return, MAB controlled the pace PLUS they should have counted the KD
