Do skills/level add to your appreciation of a fight?

    Skills and level add greatly to a fight. I would go as far as to say 75+% of my enjoyment in a fight depends on skill/world class qualities.

    not that I dislike lower level guys fighting it out. I enjoy watching that too, which is why I tune in all the time to FNFs and stuff.
    but the combination of world class fighters in a war beats them all. most entertaining thing you can watch.

      yes, higher skills and levels makes me appreciate certain boxing matches over others.

      any 2 scrubs can pound on each other and be entertaining but there's no real reason to care.

        Like I say it was 4am so I was probably exhausted, but I didn't really see a "war"... I saw one far lesser skilled boxer swarming another until he was broken down.

        A fight I saw earlier in the night involved two clueless pricks (Jon Thaxton vs some French guy) out on their feet for the last four rounds as both swung to the fences.


        Really it's like the difference between watching a Kurosawa movie and a Tom and Jerry cartoon. Sometimes Tom and Jerry is good, you know?
