I ask because the fight I enjoyed most on Saturday wasn't Amiguez-Diaz. In fact it wasn't even second.

Bear in mind it was 4am when the fight started for me, so tiredness may have contributed to it, but seeing a big fat bear in Matt Skelton slugging it out with some jug-eared Mick prick got me hard. I didn't produce any seed, but I had a few yanks on the chain, you know what I'm saying?

    Boxing skill on display? Zero.

    Ranking of opponents? Rock bottom

    Fun? Lots.

To me? Yes. I can Apreciate more too people in a tactical chess match than 2 idiots reping there heads off, with out any skills.

I say is very good, when you see a tactical war like, Manny and JMM. I hate sen fights, when 2 idiots just slugged it put, but they done have any skills, lets say for example, if Mayorga vs Margarito happens. I wont say that it wont be fun, but I can apreciate more, the kind of tactical war than a JMM vs Pacquiao brings!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then you'd probably enjoy watching MMA a lot more.

      1. MMA fighters' average skill: None
      2. MMA fight average length: short (due to widespread glass chins in inferior "fighters")

MMA forums are that way ------------------------->

I tend to appreciate the technical side of boxing a lot more than the battle side of it.

Though occasionally, you get an amazing balance between the two. Castillo/Corrales, Barrera/Morales, Vazquez/Marquez, and Marquez/Diaz are all examples of great blends of both.

              Tactical wars suck.

I prefer Ulysses S. Grant style fighters.

To me boxing is about not only hitting your opponent but also avoiding punches. Boxers that just stand there taking a beating and hoping to plow their way through an opponent are dumb fighters.

Although, every now and then it is enjoyable to watch a couple of morons go at it; these types of fighters are short lived. You can only have so many wars before your body breaks down...never mind the mental damage later in life.

I think Jim Lampley once called the style of fights I enjoy most, 'a high speed chess match.' Not to say he invented the term, but that's when I heard it first that first made sense to me.

I like fights that have technical skill and technical attributes and fight tactfully at a higher speed than usual. The way that this becomes even more exciting is when I give two ****s about the fighters.

A fighter exhibiting straight-forward brawling may well find their corner a bit of a Cold Harbor in between rounds.

I've always been a fan of flank attacks, daring raids and a bit of flair.
