Looking back, I'm changing my vote to Diaz. He was the fresher fighter and even after losing to Campbell, he was still competitive in the campbell fight and beat Katsidis afterwards.

Marquez's performance was also better in the Diaz fight due to his adjustments and over coming the pressure.

seems like theres lots of confusion about that fight and the Norwood fight, and Ive never bothered to watch either of them.

Marquez sure has a lot of close controversial fights in his career, doesnt he? Pacquiao x2, Chris John, Norwood, Barrera...
considering it was a very close fight with neither fighter doing much and neither of them hurt with the two point deductions its hard not to score it for John

I watched the Barrera fight yesterday. Had it 7 rounds to 4 with 1 even for Marquez. I think it was the 7th, Marquez dominated the round, Barrera dropped him and wacked him while he was down. I scored the round 9-9 even.

close fight, HBO announcers were loving Barrera a little too much in that one though man.

very good fight, I think that was Marquez' biggest win. Barrera was on a big winning streak and I think he only decided to fight Marquez because in his previous fight against Jaca Marquez showed he lost a step and wasn't as fast as he used ot be. Marquez still beat em.

20 years from now they'll be writing about marquez's win over barrera and his wars with pacquiao.

beating diaz will be nothing but a footnote.

Ever seen Marquez vs Julian Wheeler? Talk about controversy, Marquez got very, lets just say lucky in that one.

Since people on this site like making **** up, then my favorite JMM victory was when he schooled Sugar Ray Leonard for 12 straight rounds.... Never mind it never happened, but neither did a win against PAC but that fact hasnt stopped idiots from constantly saying it as if it was reality...

                  Wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong.

Nady didn't count the knockdown, so you aren't supposed to score the round for Barrera. Then he deducted a point which becomes 10-8. Hell even if Barrera had got the knock down counted, it'd still be 9-9 because Marquez was dominating that round before getting knockdown. 10-8 is how the round is supposed to scored though.

117-110 was my card though. Fight was not close after round 6.

I scored it 9-9 even. I counted the knockdown because it was legit. Then Barrera's dumb as$ hits Marquez when he's down and gets deducted a point. So through all that mess I said i will just call it a 9-9 round.

My own scored and opinions can't be wrong because they are mine and I did them my way.

On the official cards, yes it should be 10-8 for Marquez because of how the calls happened.
