    any plans for Joe Mesi?

we just saw the baby bull, anyone know if baby joe is planning on getting back in the ring some time this year? i know he was trying to get involved with the NY state senate. does that mean his boxing career is basically on hold?

why? because of the brain injury, or because you don't like him? he iced shannon miller in his last fight. i just saw that shannon is fighting again in albany at the end of this month, and i got curious about the other heavyweight contender from upstate, ny.

Mesi is pretty limited on the world-class circuit, as we saw in his last two fights before the suspension. I personally don't care to ever see him in a boxing ring again for the fact that we don't know what is up with his brain at all. Boxing is a dangerous sport and to subject him to further damage when he's already compromised is just gratuitous.

I followed joe mesi's career as a boxer.he had good fundamentals & great hand speed but in round six ofbthe monte Barrett fight his chin got exposed, jirov knocked him down as well.he was a solid heavyweight more in the mold of a Barrett, dominik guinn, etc.nothing more than a top 20(not a bad thing)hw.he was a regional fighter who had a large following in buffalo but he had trouble with gatekeepers.that fight with Barrett actually gave Barrett new confidence & he made a decent career for himself after that fight.mesi made alot of $$$ in buffalo & should stay retired. I believe he won an election in some form of gov't in the buffalo area.I liked joe mesi & wish him the best.he doesn't need boxing anymore.actually he'd be a great canidate to head a national boxing commission if they ever made one so all states would have same ruled & regulations.
