Khan has a world class offence, I've never doubted that, but his chin is made of the most fragile china. Just one well placed MAB bomb and it's good night. I give the kid props for taking this fight, it's a big risk!

I don't see how any amount of training by Roach can improve upon punch resistance - it's just a matter of time before someone nails Khan again.
Great point, my friend. Khan will absolutely need to be in top form for this fight. If not, it's quite possible MAB will use his vast experience to expose Amir's chin and crack him with a big shot. The double edged sword for that though is MAB is smart enough not to try that in the early rounds and will just wait patiently until he sees a moment when Khan gets sloppy. The other side is Khan might have a few rounds to set his pace, impose his size advantage on MAB and make Barrera fight his fight.

I think I've got Marco in this one, by round 9 he'll KO Amir. He's not as shot as some make out, he still can hit hard, I think he'll raise in weight ok and keep roughly the same speed so it may work in his favour. He would still have more than enough pop to KO Khan after some rounds of damage. I see similarities in this fight to JMM Diaz. Like Diaz Khan will be sharp for a good few rounds, faster, a high pace, but gradually be broken down by a much superior all round boxer adjusting to suite, and eventually being to open in adversity to some big shots.

I could be massively wrong as Roach is a madly talented trainer and may now have had the time to work wonders with Khan in improvements in defence - which is a definite possibility. In which case Khan if he's clever could take a UD.

I have Khan to take the decision or to stop Barrera late by TKO. Barrera will never quit and probably can't be legitimately stopped. I'm talking about the referee stepping in when he thinks Barrera has had enough. The risk of course is that Barrera lands a big shot at some point. Khan doesn't have the chin to go right to the top, but I think he has enough for a past-his-prime Barrera.

Good for Khan for taking this fight but I think MAB will beat him. He’s not what he once was but I don’t think he’s as shot as people think he is. Two years ago he fought Marquez and less than 1 ½ ago he fought Pacquiao. Neither knocked him out or down. Granted he’s aged since then but I think he still has enough to win.

That's what I'm leaning towards, but I won't count MAB out until I see him in the ring.

look even if Mab wins this one, historically it wont mean much since Khan is so green. at it basically will mean is that Mab picks up another strap and gets paid.

for khan, this will mean much more.

If Khan wins this fight everybody should give him mad respect. Barrera is past it but would still beat a lot of top guys.

You know what I was a Khan fan when he started his career, but the kid has disappointed me big time. He should be able to beat Barerra, but I hope Barerra knocks him out.

Of course, business wise it's better for Khan to win because MAB is at the end of his career. But anything can happen in that ring. It's really up in the air.
