Look, athletes are a funny breed. Everyone always tells athletes that are past their prime to quit, I never understood that. Your athletic life span when you think of it is very short. It's aout 10-12 years if you are lucky.

After that you are in a decline, but the love is still there. So why should these quit just because they aren't fighting at the same level they were before?

I will never remember the Ali that lost to Holmes, I will remember the Ali that beat Frasier and Foreman. No matter what anyone says, that's the guy that will be written about in the history books. The same with Barrera, I will remember the fighter against Morales in his epic battles, not the past his prime fighter Pacman beat up on.

I personally see it as 50-50.

Barrera is passed it, but is still good and has experience.

Khan is on the Learning curve, and is only his 2nd bout under his new trainer. But he has Speed.

Would like Khan to win, but i feel Barrera may school Khan with experience, considering eh has faced fast opponents before

I really wanna see how these guys match up in the ring.... Khan's a very big lightweight and MAB isn't. He might look like a dwarf in there.

Regardless, it's not as if Khan will be hitting as hard as Naz (though he'll be faster, no?) and I've got £5 on MAB.

I expect to see some youtube videos of Khan fighting outside Spar if he loses this.

i think khan takes this one by decision, barerra looked awful in his last couple fights and amir has looked solid and hngry in his last fight/training for this fight. i wouldnt be surprised to see MAB get knocked out by khan, or vice versa

I'm taking Khan in this fight, but this kid better pack a lunch, because I guarantee you Barrera will be coming to win. Past his prime or not, he's infinitely more experienced than Amir is, and has the advantage of having faced men twice as fast, strong, experienced and skilled as his young opponent. Amir better not be over confident, Barrera's not called The Baby Faced Assassin for nothing.

On paper there should be no way Khan can win this fight. I mean this is MAB! The guy that retired Prince Naseem.

Khan has a world class offence, I've never doubted that, but his chin is made of the most fragile china. Just one well placed MAB bomb and it's good night. I give the kid props for taking this fight, it's a big risk!

I don't see how any amount of training by Roach can improve upon punch resistance - it's just a matter of time before someone nails Khan again.
