Anybody here think that Pacquiao would have lost to Diaz of the other night?

He don't know, but I think Manny would beat Diaz, if Manny beats Hatton, especially by KO, then we know he could beat Juan Diaz.

It's a shame we'll never find out. That kind of unrelenting pressure is something that you could compare the Hatton against Kostya Tszyu with, but today's Hatton no longer can stay that busy for that long.

In other words, I think the Diaz of Saturday night would pose a bigger test to Pacquiao than Hatton will on May 2...with the only possible X factor being Floyd Sr.'s training and these "improvements" I keep hearing about.

I guess that why he went after David Diaz instead of Juan Diaz. If Pac wanted Juan, he could have fought him but he chose the lighter opposition.

Pacquiao looked flawless against limited David Diaz, and against twice against post prime Morales. Then against way post prime DLH. I give him credit for beating Barrera eventhough he had distractions first fight and just wanted a payday second fight.

Anyways what i am getting at, is that when Pacquiao has fought a fighter who is capable of defending himself he has loss or won a controversial decision, Morales I and both Marquez fights.

I think if Erik Morales first fight beat Pacquiao on pressure i think Juan Diaz would have a shot.

Diaz is a tough fighter with a tough style to adapt to. Pac is too fast and would have beaten Diaz but he would make it tough for anybody.
I am certainly not diminishing Marquez win bro -- not at all. IN fact, I was truly amazed at his performance. Every time that I thought Diaz was getting ready to get him out of there Marquez fought back.

Honestly, it was one those really great performances in boxing for me that only happen once in a while.

I totally agree, but I do believe Hatton will be a hard test for Pac. Back when Pac moved up to lightweight his handlers werent sure whether he'd be big enough to compete at that weight so David Diaz was the more logical choice.

Juan Diaz wouldve given him a back and forth fight though and I think Pac mightve taken it by close decision. Nobody has stopped Juan before or even came close, he has never been vulnerable because of his tight defense. Pacquiao isnt as skilled a fighter as Marquez and woulve probably traded with him and be pressured the same way Marquez was.
