again..he has a spanish speaking accent..he was raised by his parents who do not speak english all that great..plain n simple...he has an accent.
dumbshiiit..it has the same courses as University of Houston Main campus..same books..even some of the same professors..i took classes at both campuses..what ur probably trying to twist is the fact that UHD has open enrollment..meaning SAT scores are not needed for acceptance...but one still has to maintain their gpa and pass their courses..so please..STFU.
exactly what i was gonna say..i say all athletes in this same situation where they're sporting hats, shirts with tags on...You dont even know the full story....
The stuff he was wearing was new fresh out of the box that was given to him right before the interview to promote the companies that he is involved with....
Savanahh came up to him, said "put this on", did the interview 60 seconds after putting on the shirt and hat... Dont talk unless you know what you are talking about...
So basically your're saying ur not from the region where we are..where accents differ...LOL man..the lack of intelligence is oozing out..most mexicans from the southern/texas region speak like that..i lived in cali for 3 years..they speak differently there..like cholos mainly..we dont talk like that in Houston.although what you said does hold some weight, you cant just say thats the reason why he speaks the way he does. spanish was my first language, both of my parents mainly speak spanish (my mother understands it very well and speaks it but my father speaks is much better but with an accent) i didnt learn english until i started going to school. i grew up in predominantly mexican hoods in Cali and now i live in a predominantly hispanic community in miami - but i dont speak like that. i dont sound caucasian but i dont have such a heavy ass cholo accent nd ****.
i bet you that ***** sounds normal but chooses to sound like that on purpose to not seem like a "sell out"
****, victor ortiz seems more well spoken.
again..in another state and region..Texas Mexicans have the same accent he does..him going to school and tryin to get a degree is awesome. im not tryin to put him down but the truth is the truth. the guy does have a heavy accent. the only reason why im even talking about it is because thats the thread topic. also, my response was to HTownTexan, tryin to excuse his accent because of the fact that he grew up poor in a hispanic community. I shot down that argument because i grew up poor as **** in a hispanic community and dont sound like that. Again, im not tryin to put him down - the man has a better education than me - i'm not the one attending Uni. He is.
He graduated and walked in may of this year..my GF walked in the same class.Comment

He just sounds slow.
You don't need to be a eloquent speaker to be a boxer or to graduate college.
Hell, Tim Hardaway graduated from college.Comment
