oh ****, that was funny as hell

its funny that other ppl are talkin about this, i was talkin about this the other day when i saw a special segment on him on HBO OnDemand. The dude sounds like he surrounds himself with "cholos" and ppl who dont speak English that well. Sounds ****ed up but its the truth, if i heard him speak on the street i wouldnt think he was attending uni.

This dude is FAR from ******... He doesnt cuss, he doesnt talk crap... What it is is that he is not as fluent in English... He grew up in the most poor illegal neighborhood in Houston, about a mile where I am from, but still the same culture...

But my Mother who I grew up with, her first language is Spanish but had good English speaking parents.... Thats why I know english well.... Juans parents still are not fluent in English..... His first language is Spanish and learned English from school.... I could go walk in the barrio right now and know one will know English....

It is how he grew up, and although growing up in the USA, people from the neighborhood know no English and his parents first language is Spanish which he grew up talking.... That neighborhood is all spanish, with MAYBE3 out of 10 people knowing just a bit English.... I would say that 75% of the adults in the neighborhood is illegal....

That is what it is, but he is by no means ******.... He is probably the coolest fighter you will meet.... Not flashy, not boisterous, not loud... just cool.. Except that a few car dealerships have him on speed dial because he loves buying trucks... His favorite... his Lincoln truck on rims.... he was the first person in Houston with it.. he bought it before they released it...

although what you said does hold some weight, you cant just say thats the reason why he speaks the way he does. spanish was my first language, both of my parents mainly speak spanish (my mother understands it very well and speaks it but my father speaks is much better but with an accent) i didnt learn english until i started going to school. i grew up in predominantly mexican hoods in Cali and now i live in a predominantly hispanic community in miami - but i dont speak like that. i dont sound caucasian but i dont have such a heavy ass cholo accent nd ****.

i bet you that ***** sounds normal but chooses to sound like that on purpose to not seem like a "sell out"

I shot down that argument because i grew up poor as **** in a hispanic community and dont sound like that. Again, im not tryin to put him down - the man has a better education than me - i'm not the one attending Uni. He is.
