That beats Marquez's victory over a old ass Casamayor who should've lost his linear title 2 fights ago on a undercard.
Sorry bro, I have to disagree. The Calzaghe fight for Hop was NOT a p4p performance. It wasn't even one of those horrible BHOP fights to watch because he was controlling the fight at a boring face, it was just a trainwreck of a fight from both ends where both fighters ****** and one ****** a little less than the other to win.

It just doesnt compare to the Marquez loss to Pacquiao.

sucks that Casamayor lost to JMM, but it was only because JMM is 25 years old and i think Casamayor is like 40 or some ****.

Sorry, but JMM deserved the decision a lot more then Hopkins in those respective bouts and I'm a lot bigger Hopkins fan then I am JMM.

Barrera was P4P when Marquez beat. Casamayor redeemed himself with a win over Katsidis. Diaz is a great win too.

The close decision(s) to Pacquiao is what separates them. Pacquiao was pretty clear ahead of Calzaghe.

So now we're gonna compare who lost better to whom to judge who is p4P?

It's wins that counts and Hopkins had a win over a fellow P4P fighter in Pavlik, who was undefeated and held wins over the guy who beat him in Taylor.

Pavlik victory >>> Casamayor victory. Just the way it is. But now that JMM did beat Juan Diaz, I'll give him a Interim # 2 spot on P4P until I see what Hopkins does in his next fight. Dan Rafael said he wants to fight Adamek for the Ring Magazine Cruiserweight title. If he wins that he is right back to # 2 im my eyes.

              Each fighters last 6 fights
Hopkins 3-3(0 KO's)...Wins against Tarver, Wright, Pavlik. Losses to Taylor(twice), Calzagho

Marquez 5-1(3 KO's) Wins against Jaca, Barrera, Casamayor, Diaz. Only loss was that contraversial decision to El Pacman.

Thats prolly why the Ring Mag panel decided to have JMM ahead of Hopkins.

he is definitely no2, still winning world titles in a 3rd weight division, and not just winning but knocking them out, and even at 37 casa still a good fighter, and juan diaz is not ordinary he is a good young champ.

The fact that Bernard himself has said he thinks marquez is pound 4 pound no 1

So accroding to you, you can hold on to your P4P top spot based on wins you had in 2007 and 2006. Remember he has only fought one guy in 2008 in Pacquiao and lost to him. Hopkins lost too but he bounced back that same year beating Pavlik. He went 1-1 against undefated top fighters that year.

JMM beat Barrera in 2007, fine I give him that. But Hopkins's win in 2007 over Winky -who was a Top 3 P4P fighter at that time, trumps that win. Beating Rocky Juarez would've meant something had he gotten to him first before Barrera.

You wanna give him credit for a win over Jaca in 2006. Hopkins defeated the Ring Magazine LIght-heavyweight champion in Tarver that year.

But like I said, I was arguing about this because Lampley gave him the # 2 spot BEFORE THE DIAZ win. In my book he gets the # 2 spot now, until I see what Hopkins does next. If Hopkins fights/beats Adamek for the Ring Magazine Cruiser title as ESPN reported, then he is #2 again

As long as you keep beating elite fighters yes you can hang on to that based on wins in 06, 07, 08. And Lampley prolly kept saying it because the Ring Mag has JMM at #2 even ahead of Zagho, who is #3 in the Rings p4p.

And Hopkins beat Tarver...ok? have you seen Tarver lately? He's as good as a Giraffe
