Dudes, to clinch or not to clinch... THAT IS THE QUESTION. Maybe they don't win by clinching, but they would have a better chance. In Cotto's case, clinching was not part of his game plan and he was not wise enough to beat Margarito. Now, SSM used a lot of clinching to neutralize Margarito and beat him badly til the KO. I don't mean boxers should clinch and hug like a girl, (or like Hatton does), but if you incorporate it to your game plan, it might be the difference between winning or losing and even between been KTFO or lasting the 12 rounds and give yourself a chance with the judges.
