he's overrated like pac is overrated.. you have guys like paul williams and chad dawson shut out of the p4p rankings because they are black while guys like marquez and pac are praised for gettng beat up in every fight.

if marquez ever decides to fight a prime black fighter you will see he is no match for them. same goes for pac. they run from the best black fighters and will only fight themselves

its bcoz marquez fights toe to toe. hes not very defensive like floyd. they have different styles.

He is an offesive minded boxer. He has a lot of technical skill and is quite versitile, but he is not a defensive wizard. He is not affraid to take a a shot to dish out a couple of his own, but he is usually the one getting the better of the exchages. Also as the fight goes on he tend to make adjustments that allow him to take less punishment and dish out even more.

He has some subtle defense that allows him to take less punishment then he gives out though.

You name a prime black fighter in the lightweight division? JMM and Manny cant fight them because there are none at that division. Its not their fault. As for Paul Williams and Chad Dawson, those guys havent been around long enough and we all know Glen Johnson beat Chad Dawson. Paul Williams is a great fighter and his time will come.
