I like the shorts. Old skool and because it's the "uniform" of a Kronk fighter.

The talent pool is definitely shallow, though. Not sure if that Steward's fault but it's just a shame that his best fighter at present, Wlad, isn't exactly bringing the entertainment.

Does anyone know why Manny wasn't in Banks' corner last night?

Was said to be travel problems, but he is noticeably absent when they lose.

Personally I think Kelly Pavlik could really perfect his style too if he left the driveway man and kicked it with Manny Steward for a bit
Take Pavliks defense and than drop the left hand.
Outcome is a fighter who gets hit at 50-80% rates.
Pavlik is too slow for that style and his head movement too bad.

Manny Steward has always loathed infighting unless you have really good head movement and really good footwork you will get pummeled. You have to have a natural ability to not get hit to have any success with that style.

I am from Detroit and always thought Manny Steward was massively overrated, he has done decent work with Lennox and Wlad but they were not built by him, and both Wlad and Lennox are fighters that need range to do their best work so Manny's style fits with that.

From Klitschko they all like to fight at a slow pace and as long as they can keep you at a distance they will pick you apart, as soon as you dont let them fight at their pace they hardly have an answer. They also almost never hold when they get hurt.
did you hear what Stewart said before the fight he might get knocked out but he will give it a go lol, that's not very good confidence boost lol.

they all use that ridiculous high-low defense with their left hand low and get caught like whoa with right hands... wtf?!? kermit and jonathan banks are not floyd, put your damn hands up kids!

That is my point exactly. He is already good at staying behind his jab and firing hard straight shots so Manny could help him learn to move his feet and head better. If his defense and movement were revamped he would be a much better, more complete boxer. You act like if Kelly got with Manny he would do the same **** he does now except he would drop the left and use it as a measuring stick. Manny could get the guy to bend his knees and move his head, and he can already fire those straight shots with ferocity so how is it not a good combo. I hate that Kelly has a crackpot trainer, and I think the best man for the job is Steward. If not him who, ****ing Dirt McGirt?

Unless you really excel at keeping proper range, Steward is not the trainer for you. If you are a rangey guy who knows how to keep distance properly he is a pretty good trainer.

Having nice pop also helps since it will help to deter people from trying to get inside range.
