    Adamek says Heavyweight is possible

    So what's eveyone think
i can't help but be reminded of Jirov, although granted maybe he had more miles on him after the Toney fight than Adamek currently does
he's only like 6'1 and a bit, although Ibragimov and Chagaev are roughly the same height and have had success they both have always fought heavy since amateurs

i'd be nervous that his chin would hold up as great against a legit superheavy

Also what do you think of a possible resugence of "classical size" heavies (6'1-6'3 215-225lbs) not that a Vlad size guy won't have an advantage but it's still not impossible for a
6'2 guy to win and there aren't many guys vlad's size with his skillset, a guy like Adamek could definitly beat a Superheavy pretender

No offense to Adamek, but he would get crushed by them. He's good, but man.

Adamek looked small against Banks tonight.
He takes a good shot, but the guys at HW are much bigger than guys like Banks and Cunningham.

IMHO all of the really good CWs should take a crack at HW. Maybe not right now, but once you have an iron fist hold on CW you should at least look for a HW title fight that "makes sense".

              I don't think it's a good idea.

His style isn't suited to moving up to heavyweight. His power and his great chin are part of why he beat Banks and Cunningham. Against guys who hit harder and take a better shot, he will struggle. That's no problem at 200lbs, where he probably has the best chin in the division, but against heavys that won't be the case.

The smaller heavys who have had success had better head movement and defensive skill than Adamek.

I think he'd be too small for heavyweight and he gets hit too much, he got rocked a few times by Banks, I don't think his chin will be as good at heavyweight, wouldn't mind seeing him try though.

There are several good fights for Adamek at cruiserweight:

                    1. Guillermo Jones
                    2. Cunningham rematch
                    3. Marco Huck
                    4. Winner of WBCs upcoming fights: Fragomeni-Wlodarczyk, Hide-Godfrey
                    5. Winner of WBOs upcoming fights: Ramirez-Ismailov, Maccarinelli-Afolabi

I love this cruiserweight division - there's LOTS of exciting fighters at 200 right now.
