HBO to show Haye vs Wlad in America

David Haye is set to get his world heavyweight title shot against Wladimir Klitschko in America.
Talks about the Bermondsey puncher fighting the IBF and WBO champion have dragged on for weeks - and initial plans for the bout to take place at Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge are now dead.
HBO are now trying to push for the Klitschko vs Haye fight to be made, They are now looking to make the fight over in America were they will also broadcast this live on the original June date, with setanta showing the fight in the UK.

Its a shame if its happening in the US as its really a euro fight but i suppose it would be a good excuse for me to make a trip to America

It doesn't matter where they fight just as long as they get it on.

Hell yes, this means I can go.

It will be funny though, after having been to Hatton's last fight, seeing Haye with so few traveling supporters.

America is one place I didn't want the fight to be held, i'm getting sick and tired drinking red bull to keep me up in the morning.

The talks have suppoedly stalled again because of disagreements on the location of the fight.

Let me guess, Adam Booth wants to do it in Lewiston, Maine?

Negotiations for Wladimir Klitschko's IBF/WBO heavyweight title defense against David Haye have stalled over the site of the proposed summer showdown.

Representatives of the dynamic-punching former cruiserweight champ have pushed for the bout to take place at Madison Square Garden in New York City, however Klitschko wants the fight to take place in Europe.

"There has been no movement in our talks," Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer, who represents Haye, said Wednesday. "I'm on my way to London today to meet with Haye's advisor Adam Booth and try make something happen, or if need be, to discuss other opportunites for Haye.

"HBO and Showtime are interested in David Haye, so we will discuss the right kind of fights for his U.S. debut."

However, Schaefer hopes that Klitschko-Haye can be salvaged. So does Klitschko's advisor Shelly Finkel, who confirmed that talks had stalled over the site of the proposed fight.

"I hope Wladimir's next opponent is David Haye, but nothing new has happened with those negotiations," said Finkel, who added that regardless of who Klitschko fights the world's No. 1 rated heavyweight plans to return to the ring on June 20.
