(he had not been sentenced yet, he was facing jail time but it was unknown how much)

Hernandez was in the ast fiht of a 14 year career and never fought again. Does that really soud like he was at his best?
(Never lost at 130 pounds to anyone other then Floyd)

Oscar was a part time fighter.
(not a terrible version of Oscar but not the best)

Hatton had already proven he wasn't going to be a force at 147 when he almost lost to Collazo. Hec also said right after that fight that he didn't belong fighting at that weight.
(Not an excuse considering that Floyd started at 130)

Judah? Come on now....does anybody here in their right mind think Zab was at his best coming off a loss to Baldomir?
(Zab fought much better in the Mayweather fight then the Baldomor fight, Zab in the Baldomir fight went in ther to knock out Baldomir which helped Baldomir win)

Like I said, its easy to manipulate any fighters record if you really want to. I could just as easily make these guys look like world beaters too.

        Fixed it for you

No these aren't the only reasons Floyd won. The guy is great. Im just showing how simple it is to manipulate any fighters record if you decide to look at it a certain way.

He was also at that point p4p better than anybody Floyd has fought.

                  • The only person capable of getting him a 20 million dollar guarantee is Oscar De La Hoya, even with Oscar's horrible performance against Manny. Sad but true.

Of course it means something, if you beat a limited champion and then, later on, far better fighters move into the division or move from being prospects to serious contenders - you can't say that beating those superior fighters would prove nothing. Titles aren't everything, beating the best possible competition means far more, IMO.

He isn't ranked at any weight any more.

I'm not knocking it at all, just pointing out that there a several much better fighters in that division now - and were, even when he retired.

I'm just saying it makes no sense to say "what more is there to achieve" when there are Welterweights of that quality around now, and when he hasn't yet beaten a Welterweight of that quality. Judah was the undisputed champion, and beating him was a great win, but Judah was not as good as any of the top Welters are now.
