What happened to Tye Fields, Thompson, Dimitrenko, Ibragimov etc.

Where have these fighters disappeared to?

I haven't heard anything about Tony Thompson so far in 2009. I know he's one of Vitali's sparring partners, but is he going to fight again? He hasn't been in action since July 2008.

Has Sultan Ibragimov permanently retired? It's been over a year now since he's fought.

Why have I heard nothing about Tye Fields since June 2008? Has he retired?

I'm surprised we haven't heard anything about Alexander Dimitrenko this year so far. He was impressive in his last fight, back in November.

Well, for one thing, he sure got a lot of attention at boxingscene.

I'm just curious, he had quite a following, and after one embarassing KO loss, he's gone. Ruiz and Moorer lost by 1st round KOs and they returned.

Of course, I know he's not that good. I even made a thread predicting Barrett would KO him before the fight. But I'm surprised how fighters seem to disappear forever after a KO loss.

Moore and Ruiz got blasted out by the man who was the biggest, and most explosive puncher at the time. Tye got blasted out by a bum.

                Tye let Barrett win.

He so loved his fellow boxer, that he was willing to lay down on the canvas and get counted out.

thompson was to fight James toney in December but dropped out & was replaced by oquendo.I'm not sure why he dropped out thou.not sure about dimitrenko either, but I read ibragimov is bank in the gym after a year off,as well as liahkovich is coming back from injury.well tye fields I don't know.arum said he was ready for klitschkos in an interview after the willis fight.LOL! I've follows his career over the last fees years & I knew he would never be anything other than a sideshow.he's a great athlete(runs marithons & basketball)but he started to late with no amateur experience.his only win was kendrick releford & Bruce seldon(weighed 280 for the fight).to uncoodinated & easy to hit.
