    Henry Armstrong was the truth!!

Yo I've never seen this dude before. Its on ESPN Classic right now. I like how he's got real good boxing skill but doesnt do alot of running around. he reminds me of a Shane Mosley. Actually they look like exactly the same in terms of styles. I respect guys like Mayweather and Whitaker but really they don't fight like Armstrong, they make the opponent open up first. But guys like Mosley and Armstrong create that opening, instead of throwing one shot at a time. Of course that style hasn't failed for Mayweather but great fighters make great fights. It took Ricky Hatton running into him to have a great win.

Aaron Pryor probably had the most similarities to Armstrong in terms of style.

I would not really compare Henry Armstrong to anyone, they broke the mold when they made him.

He was the truth though, he is cleary one of if not the greatest fighter of all time.

There are great fighters in every era, but can the toughness of todays fighters really compare to that of Armstrongs era and others? Armstrongs eye was completely closed in the Ceferino Garcia fight and he still went on and fought just 10 days later defending the welterweight title.

Paul Williams is carrying on the tradition of Mr. Armstrong, in the sense of fighting any and all challengers at any reasonable weight class.
