I'm not sure I would call his win over Judah as "subpar". Obviously the fight got stopped due to a cut but he was building momentum and it's very possible he would have stopped him late.

Well I guess that's personal opinion..I was expecting FIREWORKS!..and it seemed as if Judah was the only one trying to engage..and throw some BOMBS!..it was quite boring IMO!..

Don't know how everyone else felt about it tho..

Clottey was methodically breaking him down. It was actually a Cotto-like performance except Cotto is just more active.

It was an impressive win.

Clottey has my respect wit his abilities..and I know he's a fuckin OX in the ring..but he slips up and fucks **** up when he should go for the KILL!!..

If he could manage to be more active and have better stamina..he'd be #1 for sure..but those are the things that have failed him to become that..and I think it'll happen again against someone like Cotto!...

I agree, that's what I feel could lead to his loss. Clottey has never fought a guy like Cotto but Cotto has never really fought a guy like Clottey. People bring up Clottey's defensive similarities to some of Cotto's past opposition, but they are completely forgetting Clottey's offense. Both guys are skilled technicians, and I don't think they have faced anyone quite like each other.

Still that fight was a lot closer than Cotto-Judah. That fight had like a 2 points difference, and the Cotto fight was over after 5!!!!!!!!
