*LOOK* Why I CAN See Cotto T/KO'ing Clottey!!!

What alot of you guys aren't seeing is..Clottey's real style..

all I keep seeing is "his defense is impenetrable".."his straight rights are monstrous" and "his left hooks are murderers!"..

what you guys don't understand is that Clottey is very inactive once he turns on the defense..and while he's on offense..you know what he does?..LUNGES IN WITH WIDE PUNCHES!..Cotto is ACCURATE and PRECISE!..Clottey is not a 100+ punch per round swinger..and Cotto is all about timing and power shots!..

Clottey is getting DROPPED..as long as Cotto plays it SMART tho!..cuz if he get's caught in a toe to toe..Clottey CAN be Dangerous..and could catch Cotto wit somethin that can be avoided!..I'm not looking past Clottey so easily..as I think it'll be very competitive..for a bit..but Cotto can and WILL adapt...and break Clottey down..like it's never been done before!..

Clottey's hungry..I'll give you that..but hunger can only take you to the big -stage..Skill is what you gotta deliver to show TRUE TALENT!..and that's where I believe Cotto is gonna step in front of Clottey and derail his plans to run the 147 division!..

Anything is possible, but Clottey CAN fight out of his defensive posture even while on the ropes. It is no secret that he does get over defensive, but I don't think he is getting stopped or dropped. He isn't completely stationary like Wright as people would claim on this forum. But he will more than likely stand toe to toe with Cotto, and both guys fight well on the inside.

I'm not say Branco is on Clottey's level..but ALSO! that was Cotto at 140..before Malignaggi!..imagine what he can do now..like 5 years later at 147 to that "peekaboo" style!!!

Very good post. I think If Cotto keeps Clottey and that shell defense, hell win easy. Like you said if Cotto keep it smart without getting into to many exchanges and pick his shots, he will win a UD. If Cotto KO Clottey it will be to the body, because Clottey is vurnerable to body shots and he doesnt take them well!!!!!

I like you as a poster, you know this. But god you overrate the **** out of Cotto, I am a big Cotto fan too, but damn. Saying Cotto will win easy if he keeps Clottey defensive is just going too far.

He also TKod Abdullaev who have a Peekaboo defense also. And Abduallaev was bigger and stronger than Cotto and had more power.

We will see should this fight be made. I will be happy no matter who wins though, but I think this will be a rough fight for both guys.

Your definitely right, but going through Cotto's resume, if there's anyone that fights anything like Clottey, it is Abdulaev. And Abdulaev gave Cotto some trouble. I don't feel like boxrec-ing it right now, but from what I remember the fight wasn't a blowout when it was stopped.

And Abdulaev is a poor-man's Clottey, but Cotto has also drastically improved from that fight.

This fight will be very, very close.
