Margarito laid down the blueprints for beating cotto

I think Cotto screwed himself by fighting off the back foot all night. I think he misinterpreted Margarito and adjusted his style the wrong way. He tried to finesse Tony and it worked but he tired himself out the process, I give Tony credit but he didn't lay no ****ing blueprints wtf is that. The stars aligned and the style match-up got Tony the win along with his own work/dedication. Cotto used the wrong style in this fight and didn't clinch when he should of, but **** the shoulda coulda woulda because Miguel will win the rematch, bet on that

We all know that marg has a good chin, and all the shots he took from cotto says that he can take a punch...but if you can defend and throw shots as well like marg did and keep cotto fighting backing up then you cut down on those power shots he throw because fighting off your back foot and going backwards, your not getting your full weight behind your shots...for the first time i seen clottey back judah up and he didn,t like it at all...if he can bring the same performance with cotto i see him really beating him up pretty bad...i know a lot of cotto fans says no way but clottey is a big w.w. And i think his coming out party will be against cotto if he got the balls to take the fight...something tells me cotto bitches out...if he takes the fight he will surely lose ...he not that great of a boxer...neither is clottey but clottey will impose his will on cotto and by him being broken down before makes it easier for him to quit again...thoughts???

Yup. Not many people can take that many shots and keep coming. Margarito has a very good chin.

There is a good possibility that Margarito cheated against Cotto, but we don't know for sure. Be that as it may Cotto likes to fight at his own pace, and if he is made to do more than he would like to he tires. Margarito only has two weapons a concrete chin, and increadible workrate. It was clear that Cotto was a better boxer by leaps and bounds, but he just obliged to Margaritos game, and it cost him. Clotty does not fight throwing 100 punches a round, and unlike Margarito he defends his head, which will give Cotto an opening to attack the body he was denied in the Margarito fight. be that as it may I think the key to this fight will be the left uppercut, and Cotto does not like those too much. Its going to be a very close rough and tumble fight, but I see Clotty taking it based on the sole fact that he is ****ing huge, and is probably the better of the two. But if Cotto is not slightly damaged from his brutal war with Margarito expect him to take a SD.

And it was an awful gameplan. Clottey is a lot more measured even when he pressures. Marg just comes with reckless abandon.

Exactly what I was going to say. Mosley applied pressure toward the later part of the fight that had Cotto backing up but it didn't quite work out the same.

Hahahaha, funny thread. Even if you don't believe that Margarito had loaded gloves you still gotta say that his method was not a damn blue print on how to beat Cotto. ROFL, seriously eat a ton of shots the first six rounds and then come on strong in the second half? Or Block with your face so that Cotto doesn't hit your body.
