mayweather is a better fighter than cotto but cotto beats him

mayweather is a great fighter... at 130,134 and 140.

at 147 he has not fought a big powerful guy in his prime with handspeed and power like cotto.

mayweather's better than cotto but not at 147 he aint, if you keep moving up divisions you'll eventually lose if you face the top guy there, mayweather is reluctant to do that and i dont blame him.

Floyd is facing a former light welterweight. The weight difference wont be a problem. Skills wins fights, not weight.

cotto started at 140 and is now massive at 147, mayweather started at 130 and is average/small at 147.

what fights at 147 make you think floyd beats cotto? floyd beat zab by ud, cotto KOed him in zab's next fight, floyd sd an ageing oscar at 154 which didnt tell us a lot, ran from baldomir all night and knocked out hatton in 10 rounds, anyone honestly think it would take 10 rounds for cotto to demolish hatton? albeit cotto is a puncher but still, mayweather's opponents at 147+ have nothing on cotto whatsoever. cotto beat a very good shane mosley with great speed and power still, a good warm up for floyd.

It doesn't matter, it's all about skills.

skills only work to a certain point when moving up divisions, cotto is also very skillfull and has a lot of size advantage on mayweather.
