The only two weight catorgory's he werent no1 were Light welter and light middle.

      Do some more research.
I was replying to a thread which stated Floyd could have been the GOAT, so I was strictly talking All-Time. The post wasn't particulary ambiguous.

add those to the fact that casamayor and freitas "ducked" floyd and floyd beat a prime oscar delahoya.

floyd is the greatest of all time!!!!!

btw if hatton beats pacquiao , a pacquiao win goes on floyd's resume too!!!!
Yeah I love that logic. A beat B who beat C, therefore A has beat C. NO! It just doesn't work!

Floyd WOULDA, Floyd COULDA, but ultimately Floyd DIDN'T, so we will never know.

          more like junior welterweight......

Yeh but i dont think he was officially recognised as the champ at light welter. Maybe i'm wrong.

But at Welter he universially recognised as the no1 welter.

Floyd never stayed in a weight catorgory long enough to claim an ATG status in a particular weight catorgory.

What weight catorgory is SRL recognised as the best ever?

These guys moved up too many to be singled into one.

actually......those 3 super lightweights i named were 3 of the 4 floyd fought at 147.

the 4th was the great carlos baldomir.

Okay, fair point. But I was just illustrating that although Floyd is very good, there have been many boxers who were better/achieved more. It really irritates me when "fans" claim he could have been the GOAT. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

sugar had like 100+ fights at 147 and probably around 50 at 160.

floyd only fought 39 in his entire career and only 1 i can think of that a win wasn't a foregone conclusion.

you don't become the goat by not having a single "shock the world" type wins.

hopkins has a couple of those......pacquiao has a few...... and those are just 2 from his own era.

                  where is floyd's ali-foreman? his ali-liston?

where was his 3 lineal titles in 1 years like armstrong?

floyd can't even jump 5 lbs. without taking a couple of tuneups against shot fighters or bums.

Yeh i was talking about Sugar Ray Leonard not Ray Robinson.

And i didnt call him the greatest of all time.

The question was how many weight catorgory's is Mayweather considered the best ever and i replied back he isnt as he moved up continuesly throughout his career.

And having tuneups before moving up is not much of a big deal

And who is out there that Mayweather would really shock by beating them? You'd have to find someone at Middleweight. And even then, the odds wouldnt be so far fetched.
