I got a couple. First is Kevin Kelley vs Derrick Gainer. Kelley has one eye swollen shut and still goes out there and fights with a ton of heart.

Pernell Whittaker vs Trinidad. Whittaker had a broken jaw and still finished the fight in what he said he felt was his first loss.

JMM vs Pac I. JMM got dropped and hurt early but still had a ton of heart and finished the fight strong.

Vargas vs Tito: Vargas had tons of heart and was only 22years old IIRC. He got really really hurt but showed the guts of an Aztec Warrior in even making it to the 12th round.

Izzy Vazquez vs Gonzalez: Izzy was rocked and hurt multiple times and still showed tons of guts and heart to come back and win.

Damn there are too many to name but needless to say Corales, Morales, Gatti, Augustus and many others are on my list of having performances just as if not gutsier.

I think that they tell Gary Lockett to snarl because if he keeps a normal expression he looks like

He basically fights one-armed, and can only throw with his left for the last 10 rounds... everything after the second round.

It took me 4 rounds to remember his arm was hurt, and it took HBO 6 rounds to figure it out.

Think about that... Chavez is a volume puncher, and no one caught on for a very long time, because he was keeping up an extremely active work rate with his left arm only.

He never looked discouraged, never looked like he wanted to quit, and just kept throwing with that left hand. Absolutely incredible.

I really wonder which arm hurt more in the weeks after this fight... the right arm that had shoulder problems, or the left arm, that is probably about to fall off from overuse.
I ain't seen that fight in yrs. I think Chavez still won like 4 more rds wit 1 arm too. Damn gutty fight. I remember they had a tribute for Foreman that night cuz he was leavin HBO.

And Gatti might be the definition of guttsy performance with how many times he's had both eyes opened up and how many times he picked himself up off the canvas.

Evander Holyfield has also had a few performances like that as well.

yeah that would be number 1

                      My number 2 would be...

PAC-Morales 1. - A HUGE cut from a headbutt that was declared "Its from a PUNCH" by the referee. so if it get stopped you lose by TKO. Pac's vision was very limited (Blood was flowing) by the 3rd quarter but he keeps on throwing . RJJ said "Pacquiao doesnt stop, Pacquio just doesnt stop"

                      number 3

JMM coming back from 3KD and a broken nose to salvage a draw.
