Clottey has scored 1 KO in his last 10 fights against nobodies for the most part. What makes Clottey suddenly feel that he can KO a top WW. I'm not counting Clottey out of the fight, but I don't think he'll pull of a KO. Let's not forget that he couldn't finish off a blown up lightweight in Diego Corrales. Clottey doesn't have all this power that so many people are talking about. He's a durable fighter that can defend and counter punch well, not some power punching KO artist. If Clottey wants to win the fight he better apply balanced pressure and not worry about the KO so much. Cotto wins via UD in my opinion.

        hey

i think clottey or berto are the perfect match for cotto me personal i wont pay a ppv to see cotto against cintron its just doesn't look exiting it is not tempting no purpose on that fight cintron should move up to 154 and try to save that division that is completely dead is not room for cintron in 147 cotto vs clottey a lot a talking he just doing whatever is necessary to get the fight good luck to him cotto will win around 9 or 11 by TKO

The only reason I say this is because he never been in a knock down drag out brawl. Even his fight with Tony wasn't that type of fight. I understand he hurt his hand in that fight but I didnt see the killer instinct I wanted to see. He was doing well against judah but the fight was close and like it was mentioned he fought Judah after he took losses to both Mayweather and Shane. I think he has enough to be right where he is #4 and is dangerrous if you fight him wrong. meaning if you punch yourself out and hit him in his tight D. But if you lure him out and coutner punch him he can be beat or out pointed on the cards. Cotto has a good chin I think he has proved that in the Mosley fight and with Tony. Judah is no feather fisted puncher either and I saw him land a few hards shots on Cotto as well. I dont think it will be as easy it people think to KO Cotto. I see this going the full twelve and if Cotto don't punch himself out early he should win....Lefty
whats good Lefty.....I questioned Clottey's desire in the Tony fight also.....I felt like Tony broke his heart around the mid rounds....but that was what we call a "learning experience".......I think Clottey's size and power will be too much for Cotto.......

before the Cotto dudes start throwing me to the wolves .....I like Cotto, I would ride with Cotto against Berto and Cintron......but my boy Josh is up in the mix and I have to hold it down........Clottey by KO Trust me!

I like Clottey, but I think Cotto would UD him. It's great that he called Cintron a ***** though, haha.

Cotto by UD. People might think its close, but Clottey will be using ear muffs a lot for Cotto to score more points.
              1) I'd rather not get into this BUT there's absolutely no proof WHATSOEVER that Cotto was eating loaded gloves all night

              2) Cotto's chin MIGHT be ruined from the Marg fight, i hope not but you never know.

              3) Thank you.

Good post. I honestly don't know why people jump to conclusions. If Margz was loaded for Cotto then you have to say he was for Williams, and Clotty, who weren't busted up one bit by Margarito. A year ago I would have picked Cotto, but on the heels of that brutal fight last June one thing is already clear, it damaged margarito, and it is very possible seeing the punishment he took that Cotto could be slightly damaged himself.

we all saw how cotto reacts when someone is in there putting pressure on him...and i guarantee as Clottey said he'll be there to stand and fight not run away....cotto is a throwback fighter and so is clottey, i think it'll be a hell of a fight, i'll give the nod to clottey, but clottey better keep in mind if this thing goes the distance there is NO WAY he's gonna get a fair decision, not with 15 - 20 thjousands puerto ricans at MSG, so he would seriously need to win by (T)KO.......
