i agree. cotto will win against clottey. cotto should win this one for a potential bout with pacman or a rematch with mosley. maybe he's not rushing on in mosley because he already beat the man but mosley will give him more money than anybody else. and with the way mosley dismantle margarito, a rematch is exciting.

First Clottey doesnt hit harder, nor is faster than Cotto

Second, Margarito had his right hand broken, Clottey had a bruised hand.

Third, Clottey won a close TD, while Cotto TKO Judah, and beat him up

The bold, thats just plain ******ed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't see this as such an easy win for Cotto...but I respect him for talking about a possible fight with Clottey. I see Clottey as the most difficult of the three possible opponents they've been mentioning.

Cotto might be faster and have better technique, but Clottey is very strong and a very big welterweight. We don't know if Mosley hits harder, or Clottey hits harder, and so on and so forth...none of us have ever been hit by them to judge. But I don't think I'm going too far out on a limb by saying Clottey probably packs some good pop in his "pounches."

Cotto will probably win a decision, possibly a controversial one 'cause they're in NYC...but if (big IF) Clottey unloads at a half-decent rate, he'll give Cotto hell for the full 12 rounds.

There is a few things I got from this article that make me think that Cotto will not choose Clottey but I hope he does especially since he was talking about he can beat Clottey. Arum said that the decision is up to Cotto & now Cotto says that he has to consult with Top Rank to see which is the best fight for him? He's talking real tough right now, not like the old Cotto. If he is as bad ass as he is acting now then let him give Clottey the nod.

I got the same vibe from reading the article. Clottey would probably be the lowest-money option...so in other words, he'll choose Cintron.

I think we went down this road before but again Clottey made Zab Judah Quit to us hard core boxing fans that saw the fight and really know the deal. I agree if Clottey tries to fight Cotto like he did Zab then Cotto definitely has a chance to out **** Clottey & win. Clottey would have to pressure Cotto & bring the fight to him & not wait for an open opportunity because Cotto ****s hard to the body. Clottey has the advantage on defense & durability in the chin. Cotto has a decent beard but as we witnessed he can be broken down with applied pressure and constant punch activity. I can see Clottey has some pop in his punches, bottom line this is a fight up for grabs by the toughest on that night who came to fight. In June Cotto/Clottey is the fight I want to see.
