A lot of these Fat Yanks on here though use "fiteing in da state's" as a bit of a blanket statement sometimes. They seem to think that the boxing world in the US is a bottomless pit and the entire population of the world could fight there if they wanted to. But what about Charlie Chung who lives in a small village in China and can't get out? Is he gonna go over there with his two Chung dollars for an air ticket?

There's also cases where the Fat Yank fighters aren't necessarily supported by their own economy (Timothy Bradley, for example, ain't exactly selling out arenas and PPVs) and possibly would, in individual cases, make more abroad.

But yeah, in Joe's case, he should have travelled. And Moby shouldn't risk going to Germany.
I mean I can say with authority that basically everything Warren say is bull****. It's pretty much my "Bob Arum" rule but x10. There's no way that fight was signed and NO one has ever gotten a confirmed report that it was signed. But Warren says it was? Come on, you can't take that clown at his word. This is the same ******* who came out and dissed Joe C. left and right before his fight with Roy saying he was a scared coward, then said he was an ATG right after the fight with Roy.

I mean I agree with you about lesser known fighters fighting at home to an extent. But let's be real, in Joe's case, the ****er was around a LONG time and had plenty of opportunity to come over here (and not fight the Rick Thornberry's of the world). Just like the case with Kessler, it's not that I begrudge the fact that he's fought jack **** so far, it's just that at THIS point in his career it's time to step up.

Basically I say, If Lennox and the Klits could do it, whey can't others?

And exactly how much does Tim Bradley make for a fight anyway?

I dunno about Tim Bradley... I'd like to see him and Witter have a rematch. Not because it was a particular spectacle, but I just feel sorry for Witter for various reasons and want to see if he can reclaim it (he's adamant that he'd heard his dad was terminally ill and it took him off his game that night).

In terms of that point, then I bet that ugly common-as-**** pasty Manc bastard Hatton could make more money "stopping at home" than, say, Dawson could fighting "in Da State's", so it's not always b/w.

But like I say, I wouldn't extend that to Joe or The Schnell, they should come to Da State's to show it. One thing I like about Froch is that he's made it clear he will... the same with The Gayemaker.

Oh... Frank Warren. Very dodgy character. I can well imagine him meeting you down a dark alley with a lead pipe to resolve issues.

Did you ever see the UK TV broadcast of Hatton vs. [I've forgotten, probably 2-3 fights before Zoo, I'll have to look it up] where the interviewer asked Hatton if he'd look at "other options" if Frank couldn't deliver big fights?

No, I don't believe Warren said it was signed. Someone is misinformed here. The fuss was all because the fight was about to be signed, it was very close, apparently to be signed the same day when Hopkins doubled his pay to 6 mil.

Not wanting to get this **** again though. Who cares. It's all in the past, Calzaghe and Hopkins fought, and Hopkins lost. Nothing else really matters anymore.

So you don't think he's handsome then?

Maybe you're right... maybe Joe's not that good looking and I'm insecure about it.

If Froch-Taylor was a dish off then it'd be Taylor KO1:
