I saw it, but there's too many grey areas that go on behind close doors. For example, it's supposedly on record - and HBO yes man Jim "And Winky's BADLY hurt... he's not really, but I'll say he is" Lampley backed it up - that Hopkins vs. Calzaghe was signed when Hopkins was in his prime(ish). This was presumably to take place "in da State's, lamo". Then Hopkins, so the story goes, backed out citing more money. Is that true? I dunno. That's the problem with NSB, a lot of it comes down to polemics. There's never any grey areas.
I think we can all agree though, that Danny Williams is an ATG. Beat Mike Tyson in his 88 prime then unified the heavyweight division by TKOing Vitali Klitschko for three and a half years.
Back on topic, check this:

LMAO. From what I understand it was a verbal agreement over the phone with Shotime execs that was recinded the next day for double the money. WOOOO
that picture of Haye has love handles btw.Comment

This is the thing, I hear different stories. Old Chameleon Eyes (Frank Warren) reckons it was all signed and ready to go. Who's to say it wasn't?
Though certainly I agree that it would have been advantageous to Joe's career to have got on a plane and fought "In Da State's".
A lot of these Fat Yanks on here though use "fiteing in da state's" as a bit of a blanket statement sometimes. They seem to think that the boxing world in the US is a bottomless pit and the entire population of the world could fight there if they wanted to. But what about Charlie Chung who lives in a small village in China and can't get out? Is he gonna go over there with his two Chung dollars for an air ticket?
There's also cases where the Fat Yank fighters aren't necessarily supported by their own economy (Timothy Bradley, for example, ain't exactly selling out arenas and PPVs) and possibly would, in individual cases, make more abroad.
But yeah, in Joe's case, he should have travelled. And Moby shouldn't risk going to Germany.Comment

In retrospect then Pisspac is what I call a "homer ****"... note that he's only praised the looks of a Fat Yank so far in this thread.Comment
