Why doesn't anyone want to fight him? Because, like Cedric Boswell, he exposed a phony - an undefeated heavyweight named Alonzo Butler. Now he can't find work as a gatekeeper.

The main problem in the sport of boxing is contenders and up-and-comers being protected from opponents who have a pulse.
And right before that, he exposed Shane Cameron, yet Cameron still managed to get the Tua fight. Go figure.

      EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: CEDRIC BOSWELL
      By G. Leon

      Free Agent Bos, Wants Arreola

RB: So what is the latest?

Cedric Boswell: There is nothing new. I am trying to make something new. It seems like since my last fight I am being blackballed or something. I don't know what is going on. We got to make something happen. I'm calling Arreola out again. He is fighting on Aprill 11th on HBO and he doesn't have an opponent yet. I feel as though we both have knocked out some of the top heavyweights so we need to get an HBO clash going on.

RB: What is your managerial status?

CB: I am a free agent. I don't have a manager or a promoter. That should make the fight even easier to make.

RB: So if Chris Arreola reads this you will be ready and willing to fight him on the Wright vs Williams undercard?

CB: I would love to fight him. We are both ranked in the IBF. That would be right on the map for us to fight one another. We can fight for my IBF North American title.

RB: That fight would give the winner a great shot at another big fight.

CB: Yeah. They are always saying that Arreola is the best American heavyweight. Thats what they think but I say they should do a clash of the top 10 American heavyweights and let the winner fight the Klitschkos. Lets do a box off and let the winner represent America. I don't think Arreola is the top American heavyweight by far.

RB: So you would like a tournament similar to Golden Boy's lightweight tournament coming up on April 4th?

CB: Yeah a box off. That way you get the best American to represent America to go and fight the Europeans. They have a revolving door of American heavyweights. We have Rahman, James Toney guys like that repeatedly fighting the top fighters. Everybody is tired of seeing them. Lets get some fresh blood up in there. A lot of the top lightweights have a promotional contract but the ones that don't have one, don't let them be stuck at the bottom. Let them get a chance to fight the top fighters.

RB: So are you going to manage yourself or are you looking for a manager?

CB: Whatever comes first. If I can get a title shot or a shot at one of the top 5 I will go that way by myself. If there are any managers or promoters who can take me where I need to be I will gladly sign with them.

RB: Would you want the Sam Peter vs Eddie Chambers winner if you can't get Arreola?

CB: I would love to fight the winner. Anybody they got out their in the top 10 I would love to fight. These guys keep talking about they want to fight the top fighters and thats what I want to do too. I feel like I have proven myself and proven to everybody that I can still fight. I knocked everybody out the last couple years. I am right here and I am a free agent. I don't know why I am being blackballed in the game right now. It is easy to make the fight happen. I will fight anybody out there. Anybody in the top 10. I don't want anyone who isn't in the top 10. I don't want to fight them. I want to fight the top 10.
I thought this thread was aboput Paul Williams.

      lol.

Actually Ahunanya has prcied himself pretty heavily of late based on two quality wins over Shane Cameron (pretty damn entertaining fight to be honest) and Alonzo Butler (the first heavyweight I ever sparred back in Tenn, he was destined to suck back then) Friday is limited athletically and has no real strength to his game besides the most important, and thats his heart. Ahunanya would/will be a handful for a lot of fighters. I think he would be a great opponent for Arreola, but maybe not a big enough name. Boswell isn;t known enough, you don't need a manager or promoter to get good fights. Brian Minto did well for himself landing big paying gigs against Axel Schultz and Luan Krasniqi (Minto went from being a tree trimmer to a boxing promoter because of those fights) but the key was him utilizing his passport and making the money in Europe. Listen, Boswell won't get the BIG fights in the states until he has a management team behind him, so for now he needs to be looking to fight the Sherman Williams and Brian Mintos of the division and IF he is successful and and busy enough, he'll get his cashout fight.
