Saying no one wanted a piece of Joe or "no one wanted to know" is ******ed. It's never the champs fault to chase after some guy with a WBO trinket (back then it was) or for him to see out challengers (Roy vs. Joe). This makes no sense. And if a guy is more popular again, he historically doesn't seek out guys who are obscure. It's not his job to make them a star (Hopkins vs. Joe).

I also believe his resume is average and I agree with you that he should have been the ones pursuing fights with them. It's not up to an established fighter to chase some above average fighter.

I'd have more love for Calzaghe if he didn't throw pitty patty punches. Though what annoys me more is his fans, majority of British fans don't know what they are talking about and hype him over his wins against Jones and Hopkins.

Prime if he fought them he would have lost imho, they would have followed up on the knockdwon but I'm going off topic.
