After watching several of SRL fights i have conculded that he would have absolutly killed Floyd jr. I see SRL faster stronger better footwork better handspeed and smarter, not to mention the compatition level. Any one have an opinion on this?
Sugar Ray Leonard would of killed floyd jr.

I think SRL would beat Floyd by UD or maybe a late stoppage. I just don't see anyway Floyd could win. -
Floyd jr is a SFW/LW, SRL STARTED at WW.
what next Prime Ali beats Floyd? tell us something we don't know.Comment

its all good, theyre just half a division away. if pac had retired after the jmm fight, nobody would even have thought of a fight w/ hatton. but right now pac is likely to be the odds-on favorite coming up to the fight. a fight w/ mosley and cotto at WW are even being looked at.Comment

People underestimate Leonard's power, he could really ****. Of course he had hand problems so he didn't turn over his punches like he did as an amateur and relied mostly on speed.
That said, Ray Leonard vs. Mayweather Jr. would have been an absolute mismatch. Whenever Mayweather got into it with a bigger guy, he went completely defensive. He countered DLH whenever he squared up because DLH's defensive is pretty wide.
But yeah, Leonard had the edge in speed, power and heart.Comment

As good as Mayweather Jr. is, Leonard was better. Leonard had just as fast if not faster hands, fought against much tougher opposition in the ring, and definetly had more power.
Don't get me wrong here as Mayweather Jr. is very talented and skilled and would not be easy for Leonard. Leronard would pursue, trap and throw combinations against Mayweather Jr. who would answer back but not with as much effect.
Remember Leonard took the bombs of Duran and Hearns, so I don't think Mayweather Jr. has what it takes to seriously hurt Ray. In about the 9th round of a very fast paced fight, Leonard would once again trap Mayweather Jr. on the ropes and not let him out throwing a blistering combination culminated by a vicious left hook sending Mayweather Jr to the canvas where he would be counted out.Comment
