There is no way Arguello would handle Floyd easily. Arguello is hard hitting and consistent, but he like Duran can not cope with lateral movement. Floyd is too smart for Arguello.

Arguello was beat over 12 by a virtual journeyman....Vilomar Fernandez. Fernandez used lots of lateral movement to beat him. Im a big fan of Arguello, but he would lose this fight clearly.

Bad style match up for AA.

What exactly does this mean? Why is it tougher if he already knocks him out in 8?

Meh, anyway, as mentioned a number of times already, Arguello had problem with slick boxers that were hard to hurt. His only two prime losses were to the great, slick boxers Vilomar Fernandez and Ernesto Marcel.

Fernandez could move for an entire fifteen round fight off the back foot while throwing great counter punch flurries and he was very tough and hard to catch cleanly.

Marcel was also a great boxer with fantastic movement too but could also fight hard and rough when he needed to. He gave Arguello a very hard fight and at a couple of points in the fight nearly put him down after giving him a pretty good beating.

I would say that Mayweather, if fighting in the 15 round days would have the stamina to do so quite well. I think he would be able to out-box AA, but it's possible he also gets a little tired late from the movement and gets tagged. After all Mayweather didn't actually move all that much as a 130 fighter and engaged quite a bit more than in his later fights. It's possible that this gets him KO'd. Still, I think it would go to a UD for him.

ive seen arguello's highlights and some of his fights and he is not some pressure fighter who would rain down punches on his opponent. he was very economical and patient... floyd jr's lateral movement and superb defense will make things very interesting though... if castillo managed to land some shots @ floyd jr, imagine arguello doing that... great fight this would be!

Arguello is too slow, to even make it competitive
