yes Joe Calzaghe who is one hell of a fighter and you forgot Tarver who was the number 1 light heavyweight when Hopkins schooled his ass.

Even if your opinion on the Joe fight was that joe won a close but clear fight it doesn't take away from the fact that it was a very close competitive bout that many people other had going either way.

If Hopkins can have a close fight with Joe Calzaghe then he can certainly beat Williams.

I like Williams but he is not in Joe's league. Hopkins would prove this.

Hopkins makes Williams come forward, Hits him with well timed counters and ties Williams up. Hopkins can do that all day even at this stage.

So basically Hopkins wins the fight because of :

• lateral movement
• Better inside game
• Counter punching
• Superior ring smarts

I think williams loses because honestly I don t know/think he can take a flush hard right hand from hopkins. Sorry but i have seen hopkins hurt bigger men with that punch even at an advanced age. I dont see williams taking many of those before he hits the canvas.

Sidenote- people keep talking about the fight being made at 168. sorry but thats not happening. this fight will be at 170 or above. Why? williams has no bargaining power as far as hopkins is concerned. If the fight takes place it will be at the weight hopkins wants. Being that he hasnt fought lower than 170 in a few years I dont see him goin any longer than that.
