    Not understanding ATG P4P...

Why is so much weight placed on resume when deciding ATG P4P?

I always thought ATG P4P meant, prime vs prime?

No way could Joe Louis or Marciano go with a prime ALI or Lennox.
And it very doubtfull anybody between 160-175 beats RJJ in his prime.

Because you have to factor in their significance AT THE TIME THEY FOUGHT. I mean Lennox Lewis would have killed any of the early heavyweights because most of them would be cruiserweights in todays world.

Who you fought and how you fought determines how great you are. Thus, resume. Its not as simple as prime for prime, or head to head.
I could say Floyd Mayweather Jr. is the GOAT, but he didnt fight a high enough level of opposition for me to know that. Thats why guys like Sugar Ray Robinson get ranked at the top, they were tested against HOF competition time and time again.

He had a granite chin, threw a ton of punches and had good skills as well.

No one can tell me that a prime Ibeabuchi could lose to anybody since he never lost, thus I rate him the greatest of all time.

Nice joke Machine, but I am serious.

I understand what you are saying, but a prime for prime seems like a better comparison.
So fine, put the old fighters down to crusier weight.

Its easy to see why SRR and SRL make it to the P4P list, because Prime for Prime they are two of the best welter weights ever!(srry floyd fans)
