Anyway, it's about who's in the driver's seat, not where they're from. Pavlik is in the driver's seat so of course I don't expect him to go anywhere else. But there's pretty much an equal chance of Abraham getting a bad decision in the US as there is vice versa. Doesn't matter anyway, I highly doubt Abraham can make 160.
Nice post IMDAZED. The thing is, I really don't sell up to the whole idea of having to fight in the 'man's backyard'. If they're willing to and it all makes sense, great. But if it means same/more money and making the fight, who the hell cares. Boxing is a global sport, be a professional athlete and get it on. Abraham has shown he's willing to come to the US and did so by brutal KO of a guy Pavlik had a bit of trouble with at times, Arthur called out several people respectfully. Before he did that I'm sure there were excuses of he probably wouldn't come to the US.

Now, it's, we wouldn't fight in Germany because of blah blah blah, well why even mention that when Arthurs said he's also willing to fight in your back yard? It just seems odd and indicates a mentality of excuses, to note such an irrelevant one where the guys already said he'd fight you in your home.

As for Abraham making 160, that genuinely is a possibility he wont be able to beyond 09, wouldn't be surprised at all. The only reason he's battling on there is to fight Pavlik, and Kelly/Arum are messing around whilst accepting it's the best and main fight to prove whom the best MW is once and for all. If the fight doesn't come off you cannot say it wasn't through Abraham not being willing to, he wants that fight where ever, and whenever, asap.

I am still waiting for a link to verify if Pavlik even said this. Where did you get this quote from?

I tell you what, prior to Saturday night I thought Pavlik would send Abraham into space. I'm not surprised Arum is looking to delay that fight as long as he can - I'm not so certain Kelly still has that belief in himself. Plus, God his defense is awful.

It's understandable, really. Pavlik is the champion of the division, he beat the man who beat the man. While Abraham has looked very good of late, his best win was Edison Miranda. That's Pavlik's second best win, sandwiched between a pair of Jermain Taylor wins.

I too would be concerned with going to Germany and trying to get a fair shake. I say have the fight in Vegas, the international championship proving grounds.

I think pavlik has the right to stay in america... dude has all the belts he needs to be in the drivers seat..

Regardless of what i think about his performance the other night He should be able to fight right at home where the money will be good.

The fight should happen in America, Pavlik is the man and he shouldn't have to go anywhere. AA will come to America to fight Pavlik, i'm sure of that.

Greatest thread ever, over 10 pgs of arguing back and forth while the TS has never provided a link for a quote which really does not fit the personality of the fighter it attributed to.

Exactly, not one link to a source and people take a known Pavlik haters word for it.
