Griffith was not a big puncher by any means but many of his opponents were bigger than him or known for being nearly impossible to stop. He also admitted that he became a less aggressive fighter after the fatal KO against Benny Paret and never truly looked for the knockout after that fight.

Even Whitaker and Pep, never known for their punching power, scored KO's that should keep them out of this list.

I mean all these guys were very very good, so they could make guys respect them (they obviously hit hard enough to make the other guy not like getting him by them). Tapping a diamond enough time will crack it though, when I think power I think 1 punch kayo power, and these guys were all amonst the best of all time that really did not have that.

To me Lamotta was a very strong fighter, I am sure he could punch decently hard but I would call him more of a strong man then a big puncher. Although anyone trained to hurt someone else with their fist can probably do heavy damage if the situation presented itself (or if they had to).

All depends on how you look at it though, because what you say is true.

Calzhage was never a puncher..Most of the guys he stopped were bums that had already been KO'd.

Doesn't necessarily make him a weak puncher though.

Sweet Pea also wasn't the hardest of puncher.
He dropped De La Hoya. I wouldn't really call him a light puncher. I wouldn't call him a hard puncher either.

Anyway, I'm going to go with Malinaggi.

Calzaghe has never ever put anyone down for ten in a title fight.
