I really hope this doesn't happen, Hearns is punchy as **** as it is.
Thomas Hearns, age 50, Wants One More Fight

Tommy Hearns is one of the greatest, no doubt. But considering how much punishment he's taken, who's to say that one lucky hard punch from a bum doesn't send him into permanent, devastating damage?
Please Mr. Hearns, let your son do the fighting now. I saw an interview where Tommy said he gets nervous when he watches his son fight. Well, you're gonna make a whole lot of people nervous if you keep stepping into the ring. He might have stayed active until 2006, but at his age every year that goes by is probably really like 5 years going by (or something like that). A 37-year-old Mosley knows his time is limited. So does a 36-year-old DLH. What Hopkins does is the exception not the rule (plus, he doesn't get hit a ton).Comment

he should probably fight some "BUM" who loves to fight and embarass old legends and retires thinking he doesn't have anything to prove (against old and shot legends). you know this guy he was recently saying that "boxing is dead" and the light heavy champ today is "not ready to face him" because he's not old and shot enough.

True story. I actually went to his final fight against Shannon Landberg a few years ago and he looked terrible.
It might be good if the Pistons don't make the playoffs this year because it will save Tommy and the fans from having to endure completely unintelligible interviews during timeouts.
Who would have ever thought that Lennox Lewis would be in the Hall Of Fame 5 years before Tommy Hearns?Comment
