Kessler-Perdomo, Nuzhenko-Senchenko: Both Possible

Style-wise, Kessler's got a pretty good offense. But my response to people who think he has such a good technical style is, "He's not technical, he's mechanical." And a sitting duck when he steps up again. Regardless, he's enjoyable to watch.
Such a shame.Comment

What he said was pure ignorance, even you can agree with that.... Abraham is European and there are plenty of Euro fighters that take up challenges. Froch will be coming over here to fight Taylor when it should be Jermain going over to Nottingham for the belt. Adamek also has also fought very solid competition. He completely generalized a whole continent and their fighters, which is ****** beyond belief.Comment

So, unless they're on this forum they didn't exist?
Yeah, makes perfect sense.

I think that could be his toughest fight at welterweight since PW isn't fighting at WW at the moment and Clottey might actually be tougher.Just goes to prove that promoters get scared easily. Before fighting Calzaghe, Kessler had been given a series of reputable opponents. Sure, they weren't huge names, but two belt holders and two very live opponents looks decent. I imagine Palle got caught up in the hype of his own fighter and didn't think it possible he could lose. Now he is protecting Kessler to make as much money for himself out of fear that Kessler losing again would cut his value more. I suppose this is an even bigger priority now that Kessler has no intention of renewing his deal with Palle, which expires after three fights. Kessler is trying to cut ties sooner as well.
It looks like Arum will do the exact same thing with Pavlik and Cotto. Are we hearing Abraham or Sturm for Pavlik? No, we're hearing Duddy or Mora. Are we hearing Mosley or Williams for Cotto? No, we're hearing Clottey or Cintron. Promoters **** this sport up for everyone. I don't doubt the heart of Kessler, Pavlik or Cotto.Comment

Here. Yes, people knew Kessler and followed him before the Calzaghe fight. http://www.boxingscene.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=145915
"Does anyone actually give Kessler a chance against Calzaghe?": http://www.boxingscene.com/forums/sh...hlight=Kessler
Or you could do a search and see that quite a large number of people picked Kessler to KO, stop, or just beat Calzaghe on points: http://www.boxingscene.com/forums/se...&pp=25&page=17
There's the proof that people don't just bull up Kessler to make Calzaghe look better.

I wonder what it's like being Mikkel Kessler these days. Originally Kessler didn't want Larsen but a fight in the US. Still his promotor worked on that fight.
Now that fight is as good as dead and Kessler gets another prolonged break before another lame mandatory against a fighter who's best result is a loss to Dimitri Sartison.
Regarding Mogens Palle (Kessler's promotor) I'd say this: He couldn't make a fight with Calzaghe, Hopkins, Wright, Taylor, Pavlik or Dawson. And now he cannot even make a fight with countryman Mads Larsen despite working on it for months behind Mikkels back. Pathetic. And a waste of Kessler's prime years.Comment

Why does he have to fight Perdomo? He lost to Dimitri Sartison who Kessler already beat. Plus his only win is that is any good is against Hector Javier Velazco who was kinda old at the time. The WBA needs to seriously sort themselves out if they have guys like this as there number one contender The best fighter in there top 15 is Bika and hes number 15.Comment
