Depends on styles - indeed, Cotto is not a tall welterweight at all - but he has a heavy frame and is indeed one of the stronger fighters in the division (Mosley fight proved alot to me); Cintron who is as tall as Margarito (if not taller) would get tossed around the ring in a Cotto fight - just my opinion.

last I checked the facial damage of a fighter wasnt a criteria for judging fights.on Cotto/Mallignaggi; look what a weight drained Cotto did in his last fight at 140
Malignaggi was down in the second round, and in the fifth he suffered a cut over the left eye, about an inch and a half long on the outer edge above the lid. By round eleven he was showing nose, lip and right jaw puff injuries. The post bout examination showed he had a broken right cheek bone
on Hatton/Mallignaggi; Malignaggi was taking some heavy punches and did not appear too hurt, but trainer Buddy McGirt had seen enough and threw in the towel.
Dont forget Hatton bleeds a lot (without plaster) and if a nobody did this to Hatton...
...imagine what cotto would do to him!
Cotto Cant make the weight at 140 so the fight would be at 147 an we all know Hatton can't fight competitive at 147

At 140 I would give Hatton a good chance. Hatton is just not big enough for 147. He might give a Cotto a decent fight but I doubt he could pull it off.Comment
