No offense to that..but people said Jennings was a level above Gomez..and that simply wasn't the case..
but to be fair..styles make fights..Jennings lateral movement reminded me alot of Hatton but Hatton decides to go inside and trade more..and that'll be his biggest mistake against a fighter like Cotto..you know?Comment

Maybe, and no offence intended..well ok,maybe a little.IMO at welter, the fight would go to the later rounds, but with miguel winning either by tko 11/12 or handily on points. Also, going into the fight, and even now I would say jennings is a better fighter than Gomez.I actually think that Cotto may have gained something extra and improved through his defeat* to margarito.Time will tell, but he definitely had something about him last night. No offense to that..but people said Jennings was a level above Gomez..and that simply wasn't the case..

theres also another article i read years back where Top Rank attempted to contact the Hatton camp for a fight with Cotto but they weren't interested. Will post when find. right now, I'm making pancakes.Personally, I’m somewhere between the two schools of thought but one undeniable truth is the move to 147 lbs. failed to facilitate bigger fights with Mayweather, Judah or Baldomir – although it is hard to know how hard anyone tried – and Ricky’s imminent return to Junior-Welter serves to underline this bitter reality.
Suddenly, the ‘party line’ from Team Hatton has flipped; the lighter division is now where all the fights are they claim, despite Miguel Cotto’s simultaneous move to Welterweight and Floyd Mayweather’s continued preference for the heavier division.Comment
