Whats up with Barker?? Never seen him. Whats his style??
hennesey sports came to my hometown in Edmonton,Canada last year & barker beat a journeyman southpaw larry sharpe(32rank) in a 10 round bout.sharpe was handpicked to give barker experience against a tough southpaw who can take a punch.barker beat via decision.barker has good skills but couldn't knockout sharpe out because sharpe is one tough Indian.barker was in no danger & showcased his boxing skills.I'd love to see him fight again vs duddy.that's the level of opponent duddy should beat before he thinks of pavlik.last I know barker was ranked #13

cool info.
Darren Barker lives near me, but I've never seen him fight.
Matthew Macklin vs Duddy is what they should angle for, using the Irish angle. Even money fight too. I'd watch that fight.

your picture looks like a snowman you could build in northern canada.do you get lots of snow in England? I thought hennessy sports puts on a good show.hope they come back showcasing english talent.my local scene sucks.our mainevent attraction is a women boxer & a part time trailerpark manager.good promoter(ken lakusta:look him up he was a stepping stone heavyweight in the 80's who has a nice resume of getting beatup by contenders)but no talent in his stable

We had lots of snow a few weeks ago.
It snows here now again, but this was probably the first time I've ever seen proper snow, the velvety stuff that feels like flour. But yeah, proper snow definetely isn't common.
I keep looking out the window, wanting it to snow again, like a child, haha.

Ricky hatton is one of my favorites.I met 2 English lads when I was in egypt that knew hatton personally.never once did they talk about him as a boxer but only spoke about how great of a person he is.even after reaching star status he still down to the local pub for a pint & had time for everyone.they told me about a time he had a few extra pints & went around asking ordinary people like you or I for autographs.I laughed.no matter if what they said was true or not I enjoyed their stories.if hatton is really like that I think that is how every wealthy athlete should be.I'd like to have a pint with him.David haye could learn a thing or two about class from him.a person doesn't always achieve greatness by his accomplishments but by how he presents himself after he's on top.hatton is humble & never belittles an opponent after a win.I believe hatton has achieved greatness well beyond the ring.I salute him! I want to go to England one day.I'd fit in well
