I guess you didn't see the body work he was doing throughout the whole fight or the right hand in the eighth round that nearly took his head off. Rubio was crying in his corner saying "no more,no more". His corner wanted him to continue. Either way it was a weak fighter in there.Comment

Nope didnt see it. I saw a lot of shots by Pavlik hit his gloves. And I saw Pavlik look really unremarkable against a guy who wasnt there to fight. It looked as if Pavlik has regressed since the Hopkins fight.
Rubio on the other hand, like one poster mentioned above looked unmarked for the most part. It stinks after the slugfest he was in against Ornelas just a couple months ago. Didnt look like the same Rubio to me. And Pavlik wasnt doing anything to discourage him in any way, so to me it looked like Rubio was bought and paid for before the fight.Comment

You can think what you want as it is your opinion, but that crowd could of shocked any fighter in there. Pavlik is not a light puncher by any means and can push you back with just his jab. Rubio wasn't going to trade with him like he did with Ornelas, it would of been an early night. The first flush right hand that landed buckled Rubios knees and sent him into survival mode.Nope didnt see it. I saw a lot of shots by Pavlik hit his gloves. Just because a fighter looks unmarked does not mean they are less damaged. Lets not forget most of the work that was done, was to the body. Rubio fought a negative fight and in the end he couldn't back peddle anymore. He was crying in his corner wanting a way out, Rubio was beat both mentally and physically in that ring. I don't rate it as a good win tho.Comment
