Johnson offered a fight for a dollar and a dime. Not really an offer.

Froch and Kessler never got down at the negotiating table before Taylor-Froch gained steam.

Dawson turned down Kessler for a fight at 172 despite calling out the smaller man.

500,000 is not a dollar and a dime.... Most fighters don't even make that in their lifetime. Johnson is old but he still fights at the elite level. He was willing to drop down to 170 which is just two pounds over the SMW limit. Kessler probably rehydrates over that amount after the weigh in anyways. If it is exposure The Viking Warrior wants look no further than the Road Warrior.

I like Hopkins a lot, he has a very good resume and seems willing to fight anyone, but how do you explain the fact that he accepted an offer to fight Joe in '02, then changed his mind the next day asking for double the amount.

That's a shame, Larsen would have been a step back up into a higher level of opposition, Kessler needs to find a good opponent soon.
